Feedback from Previous Lesson

  • It would have helped to have a reason why we were drawing nature.
  • It would have made it clearer, in terms of instruction, to provide a little more instruction for the breakout rooms.
  • Giving an introduction about drawing nature before having students do the activity.
  • Encourage students to explain why they decided to draw the things that they did.
  •  Facilitate a discussion by asking students how the drawing inspired them
  • Ask a couple of more follow-up questions to get more in the students’ minds and understanding where they were coming from.
  • Add a little bit more focus, as opposed to just finding inspiration, maybe find inspiration and tell a story behind it or find inspiration and then a few additional steps.
  • When things are too open ended, especially for younger kids they may have a harder time focusing.
  • Playing music during the warm up could have been more engaging for children.
  • keep that atmosphere, but try to ask more students to make sure they are all participating.
  • Show an example of a drawing in nature and how you learn from it before asking the students to do it.
  •  More guiding questions to talk about in the break out rooms.
